• Hoist hook - check for cracks, deformation

• Safety latch on hoist hook

• Sheaves, drums, rope reeving

• Collector systems, conductors

• Controllers - contacts, springs, brushes

• Brakes - bands, linings, wheels (test), bridge brakes

• Holding brakes - hoist, main and auxilliary

• Trolley brakes - cab attached, cab attached to trolley only

• Hydraulic and air systems

• Lubricants lines, fittings, pumps

• Wheels - flange condition

• Bumper stops and rope attached

• Rail sweeps

• Guards - couplings, gears in place

• Limit switch - test rope and connections

• Motors

• Griders and structural members

• Lights and supports

• Access stairs, ladders, platform, landings

• Test manual controllers in cab

• Warning device

• Running lights

• Indicators - load, wind, angle

• Radio - control system

• House keeping - loose items, debris, windows
