Blinds/curtains closed ( windows closed too, so dog doesnot go through screen )

TV or music on loud

If dog is very distraught, consider confining in small interior room, also consider staying home with him/her if you were going out.

Frozen stuffed Kong, or other long lasting treat, on which for dogs to work

Claiming oils, sprays, pheromone diffusers, white noise, or other claming measures in place, if you have them

Thundershirt or other anxiety relief wrap on dog

Dog goes outside on-leash only, with SLIP-PROOF collar or harness
-
Dog exercised early and tired out by fireworks time
-
Leave dog home if you are going out to see fireworks
