New Template Checklist

  • Review build task for any questions you might have for Dealer, AM, etc.

  • Block out build steps/timing in accordance with deadline

  • Site built and ready for review

  • Review meta title and description/keywords

  • Review all dependencies HP/Subpages/core tokens and make sure they\'re sourced from AWS and s3.amazonaws.com/ has be removed from urls

  • Review PHP conditionals and serve only what is needed to a specific page

  • If Adobe Typekit make sure to add media="print" onload="this.media=\'all\'" to link tag and font-display is set when you make the kit - Alternative is self-hosting

  • Review superNav on homepage and subpages for both desktop and mobile - Only one $superNav->superMode = \'top\'; can used on a template

  • Review territory token in header on HP, subpages, city pages, module pages, etc.

  • Review all company tokens to make sure they\'re generating the correct information

  • Use /sitemap.html to review deep pages

  • Check phone numbers. Site should only have [phone ] token in place. No hardcoded numbers

  • Review sitewide img alt attributes with https://www.screamingfrog.co.uk/ If you don\'t have SF ask for assistance

  • Check media queries at all viewport sizes

  • Check browser console for errors throughout the site

  • Run Lighthouse in Chrome devtools

  • Run https://www.webpagetest.org/ and https://pagespeed.web.dev/

  • Peer Review: Poll the team to see if there\'s a few people available to thoroughly review the site both in DEV and then again right after it goes live.

  • Submit DEV site for peer review

  • Peer DEV review complete

  • Push LIVE and resubmit for final peer review of live site

  • Live peer review complete - site is live

  • Don\'t forget to Bonusly the peer reviewers for their help
