Choose a funeral home / director

Decide either a burial or cremation

Select the type of service (family viewing, private prayer, visitation, etc.)

Select someone you wish to officiate the service

Choose floral arrangements - inside vases, or standing pieces, on top of the casket, etc.

Prepare what you wish the deceased to wear (if buried in a casket)

Choose the desired casket/container

Prepare a written obituary

Notify close family & friends of the service

Prepare any information necessary to create the death certificate
