Inspect drone for defects

Inspect propellors for damage, tightened and locked

Drone battery fully charged and correctly installed

Transmitter battery fully charged

Smartphone fully charged (when applicable)

Firmware up to date (when appropriate)

SD card empty and secure (photography)

Weather okay (no storms, rain, excessive wind, etc.)

Camera lens cap and gimbal guard removed (when camera used)
-
Airmap or B4UFLY app installed on phone and airspace checked, authorizations received
-
Transmitter and drone turned on and communicating (check user manual for your drone)
-
Area scanned for people and obstacles
