Electrical
-
Discontinue use of extension cords in lieu of permanent wiring.

Discontinue use of multi-plug adapters in series.
-
Remove extension cords through openings, affixed to buildings, or attached in series.
-
Maintain wiring in good condition and protect from damage.
-
Discontinue use of wiring not in conduit.
-
Provide cover plates.
-
Replace all damaged/spliced electrical wiring.

Electrical panel and equipment shall have a minimum of 36” clearance front, 30” sides and 76” height.

Exiting and Housekeeping
-
Flammable liquids must be stored in original containers or closed metal cans.
-
Store any rubbish exceeding the capacity of a 5-gallon bucket in an approved container.

Provide 30” clearance from heat producing appliances and combustible material.
-
Remove combustible storage, waste, trash or weeds.
-
Remove or store waste material and oily rags in approved/listed closed metal container.
-
Provide metal drip pans located under the engines of all aircraft.

Provide and post NO SMOKING signs.

Fire Protection

Extinguishers must be serviced every 6 years and inspected annually

Extinguishers must be accessible and located appropriately.
-
Maintain integrity of occupancy and area separation walls.

Storage
-
Remove storage from exits, aisles, corridors, and under stairs.

Reduce storage height to at least 2 feet below ceiling in buildings not protected by sprinklers.

Secure and identify compressed gas cylinders.
