  • Qualify for either Cultural or Athletic self-employment 

  • 2+ years of relevant experience 

  • Demonstrate that you intend to become self-employed in Canada 

  • Score at least 35 points out of 100 on IRCC\'s point based application system 

  • Proficiency in English or French demonstrated in the IRCC language test

  • Demonstrate the ability to adapt to life in Canada based on factors including family already living in Canada, completed schooling in Canada, previous work experience in Canada, and a spouse or partner with advanced training or education.

  • Meet age requirements 

  • Prove to a visa officer that you have enough money to settle in Canada with your dependents and finance the work you applied for 

  • Complete your IRCC Self-Employed Visa application package and all supporting documentation requirements 

  • Pay all applications fees starting at $1540 CA

  • Submit you your fingerprints and photo and all biometrics fees

  • Pay for and submit and required 3rd-party documentation such as medical exams or language tests
